Prerequisites for Software Setup

To ensure optimal compatibility and performance with your toolset, follow these setup steps closely.

Pre-Setup Checklist

  1. Disable all antivirus software, including Windows Defender and third-party solutions.
    • Open Windows Security by searching for it in the Start menu.
    • Go to Virus & threat protection.
    • Click on Manage settings under Virus & threat protection settings.
    • Turn off Real-time protection and Tamper protection.
  2. Restart your system or uninstall any active background security services (such as Riot's Vanguard).
  • To restart, click on the Start menu, select the Power icon, and choose Restart.
  • To uninstall Riot Vanguard, go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features, find Riot Vanguard, and click Uninstall.

  1. Set your game to Fullscreen Borderless mode.

    • Open your game settings.
    • Look for the Display or Graphics settings.
    • Set the Display Mode to Fullscreen Borderless.

  2. Set your in-game Frame Generation OFF.

    • Open your game settings.
    • Look for the Graphics settings.
    • Set the Frame Generation to OFF.

  3. Disable all in-game overlays (e.g., Discord, Nvidia, Steam).

    • For Discord:
      • Open Discord, go to User Settings > Game Overlay, and turn off Enable in-game overlay.
    • For NVIDIA GeForce Experience:
      • Open GeForce Experience, click on the Settings (gear) icon, and turn off In-Game Overlay.
    • For Steam:
      • Open Steam, go to Steam > Settings > In-Game, and uncheck Enable Steam Overlay while in-game.

  4. Ensure shaders or graphical dependencies are installed beforehand.

    • Download and install any required shaders or graphical dependencies from the game's official website or a trusted source.

  5. Fully close any game launchers (e.g. Battle.net, Steam, Riot Client) before launching tools.

    • Right-click on the launcher icon in the taskbar and select Exit or Quit.

Installation Steps

  1. Open Windows Security settings:

    • Search for Windows Security in the Start menu and open it.
    • Go to Virus & threat protection.
    • Click on Manage settings under Virus & threat protection settings.
    • Turn off Real-time protection and Tamper protection.
    • Additionally, turn off Core isolation memory integrity:
      • Go to Device security in Windows Security.
      • Click on Core isolation details.
      • Turn off Memory integrity.

    Use Dcontrol to Disable Windows Defender

  2. Access your BIOS settings:

    • Restart your computer.
    • During the boot process, press the key to enter BIOS (usually Delete, F2, or F10, depending on your motherboard).
    • Turn off Secure Boot
    • Save and exit BIOS.

  3. Disable startup security services manually (e.g. Riot-related services, Faceit):

    • Method 1: Fully uninstall software.
      • Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features, find the software, and click Uninstall.
    • Method 2:
      • Right-click on the empty space in your taskbar and select Task Manager.
      • Go to the Startup tab.
      • Find the relevant client (e.g., Vanguard or Riot Client), right-click on it, and select Disable.

  4. Download and extract the Tool file.

    • Download the Tool file from the provided link (in your Invoice).
    • Locate the downloaded file, usually in the Downloads folder.
    • Right-click on the downloaded file and select Extract All....
    • Choose a destination folder and click Extract.
    • If it asks for a Password, use: 123

  5. Locate and run the loader as Administrator.

    • Navigate to the folder where you extracted the files.
    • Find the loader executable (e.g. Grey.exe).
    • Right-click on it and select Run as administrator.

Launch Sequence

  1. Run the Loader as Administrator.
  2. Register or log in.
  3. Enter your license key and redeem.
  4. Inside the Loader, select the product
  5. Click Load
  6. Wait for the loader to finish preparing.
  7. Once it says waiting for game, open your game.
  8. Head to your game lobby
  9. Click the loader from your taskbar
  10. Click the game window again
  11. In-game you’ll hear a beep or see a white circle once Loaded
  12. press Home to open or close the menu.

Troubleshooting & Common Fixes

Most issues when using Grey 2022 would be caused by your
Anti Virus being turned ON, your in-game mode being set to
Fullscreen Exclusive or Frame Generation being on.

Disable Windows defender using step 1 at the top of the Guide
Set your in-game setting to Fullscreen Borderless.
Turn off Frame Generation.

Best Practices

  • Never share your key or password
  • Close unnecessary overlays (Discord, Steam overlay, etc.)
    • NVIDIA Overlay should only be enabled if you are intentionally recording
